How to play
Every day there's one mystery Wikipedia article. The chart shows how many people read it each day over the last three years. Spikes are moments the world got curious: a premiere, a big game, a viral clip, an award.
Guess the article
- Type a guess and pick it from the list. You have six tries.
- A wrong guess draws its own curve over the mystery curve, with a match score. Similar rhythm, similar timing: you're getting warm.
- Each miss unlocks a clue: the dates of the biggest spikes, what kind of thing it is, when, the letters, and a short description.
The squares
- 🟩 correct · 🟨 70%+ match · 🟧 40–69% · 🟥 under 40%
- Share your row of squares: it shows how you did without giving the answer away.
Tips
- One giant spike and a flat line: often a one-off event or a viral moment. Spikes that repeat every year: a holiday, a sports event or an awards show.
- A slow build before a big spike: a film or game release. A spike that stays high afterwards: someone became famous.
- Curves are scaled to their own peak, so compare shapes, not heights.
